Fine for coffee, not so good for espresso

Pros: Dual capability, makes good coffee, easy to use, nice frothing capability
Cons: Poor crema, makes only 1.5 espresso shots, takes too long to depressurize between shots
The Bottom Line:
Fine for coffee, not so good for espresso, and can only make enough espresso for one!
I've owned a Caffe Duomo for nearly 3 years and have been pleased with the coffee-making side of things but am so disappointed with the espresso side that I'm shopping around for another machine. It can make a single espresso drink without a problem (other than giving only small amounts of crema and tending to break up the crema with large bubbles) but cannot squeeze out another whole shot. The water temperature/pressure gets too high after about 1 shot, making the coffee come out only in bubbles and spurts, and leaving spatters on the countertop. The pressure remains high for at least 20 minutes, meaning that you can't remove the basket to add new grounds to make another shot.
