1 year later and I still love the power of this

Pros: fast easy to clean
Cons: touchy buttons leave unplugged for safety
The Bottom Line:
Still love it a year later! Great find.
I purchased this coffee and espresso machine one year ago and after the first week of frustrations I still love it. Since it was new to me, I often tried to froth the milk too soon, or not long enough. But now after 2-3 lattes and cappuccinos a day it still is very powerful.
My mom is in for a 3 week stay and she is learning how yummy steamed milk can be with her hot chocolate.
You have to pull the machine out to fill up and make the coffee or espresso. But this is fine with me. You do get a better espresso if you pack in your grounds. I love the really thick froth and so I just fill my cup with cold milk only to the half way point. There is a marking on the glass thermos that shows the steam line when the espresso gets to there, start frothing your milk.
The coffee pot needs the pointed coffee filter.
Yes the buttons are sensitive, but I simply make the habit of unplugging the machine after each use, since there is no clock on the machine there is no need for me to have it plugged in. Plus with kids in my house they use the counter and for safety this is just what I do.
I absolutely love the machine. The second week of having it when I pulled the machine forward to make some coffee and fill the tanks I forgot to remove the espresso container and it dropped to the floor and shattered. I ran to the nearest Goodwill and found a replacement machine (any Krups will do) and for a 3.00 I got all these replacement parts.
Happy Happy Happy, now if I can just keep my mom from drinking my Hazelnut cappuccinos when I turn around I may get a good drink in this morning.
