King of Fighters Dream Match 1999 arrives on the Dreamcast packed with lots of cool features and is complemented by engaging play. Right from the start of the game you have access to 38 playable characters. This total goes up to a whopping 51 when you include all of the different costume variations. And since the KOF DM99 roster consists of characters from all over the SNK universe, each combatant has a unique fighting style and appearance.

I bought King of Fighters Evolution for Dreamcast, but they gave me Dream Match inside its case! Oh well. Did I say it was a bad thing?

Graphics= *****
Old school, but what fans of the series are used to and have grown to like! You can have your Tekkens and Virtua Fighters, but I bleed 2D. I love the classic move animations and character sprites, looking just like in '97, and '98. It is better that way. Good backgrounds too. You might catch something cool, like an old character.
Sound= *****
Once again, I can clearly hear Rising Tackle, Shou Oh Ken, and others. I like the newer, hipper music that they added to this one. I have only played up to '99, but I would like to try others and can only pray they didn't change the sound for those ones...
Gameplay/Control= *****
What can I say? It rocks, just like in all KOFs previously! They have not changed any of the classic combinations in the least, and have kept the same moves in those combinations. Hats off to SNK again!
Overall, if there is anything to complain about, 5 hours a day playing this game hasn't found it for me yet!
