King of Fighters Dream Match 1999 arrives on the Dreamcast packed with lots of cool features and is complemented by engaging play. Right from the start of the game you have access to 38 playable characters. This total goes up to a whopping 51 when you include all of the different costume variations. And since the KOF DM99 roster consists of characters from all over the SNK universe, each combatant has a unique fighting style and appearance.

Pros: Great game-play, nice graphics, tons of characters
Cons: Some people might be turned off because it's a 2-D fighter, but don't overlook it because of that.
Well KOF DM99 is a great game. This SNK game rocks. SNK is known for making marvelous 2-D fighters and here is another great one. This one is awesome. This has everything you ever wanted in an SNK game. Great combos, great graphics, original characters, awesome supers, and just pure fighting fun. This game rocks. With so many characters to choose from and secret art to open up, this game has a ton to offer.
Well SNK has got their 2-D art done in perfection in this game. The graphics in this are very very nice. The characters look great and have great animation. This is an amazing piece of art work. All the characters look great and move great. It just doesn't get much better than that.
If you thought Street Fighter Alpha 3 was good, then you must try this. The moves these characters do just blow Street Fighter away. The moves in this game are so original, just like all the other King of Fighters though. If you have played the others then some of these characters will seem familiar and you will adjust to this game well. There are some minor changes in some of the older characters, but they are still basically the same. The moves look great in action and with some little skill can be used to create some very flashy combos using a very complex fighting engine. This fighting engine is similar to Street Fighter but a little more complex, in my opinion. SFA 3 was great, but I feel that this game is better.
This game offers more to a fighting game player than any other 2-D game out there right now. It may not be as flashy as other fighters, but it is more complex and is more original. The needed motions to do moves have been toned down dramatically, making this a game for any fighting game fan. If you have money and like fighting games, pick this one up! This is an awesome game. If you don't like 2-D fighters I still think you should give this game a try. You mind like it.
So as a whole another great fighting game. With a huge character selection and nice little secrets this game is a must buy. If you like 2-D fighters DO NOT miss this one! If you don't like 2-D fighters rent this game and see if it won't change your mind. This is a great game. SNK has done well.
