With 14 grind settings and a precision milling system, this electric coffee mill grinds coffee beans to any fineness without overheating them and spoiling their full flavor and aroma. Two ranges of grind settings are marked: one for fine grinds suitable for espresso and Turkish-style coffee, and the other for coarser grinds suitable for drip machines, French presses, and percolators. Selecting a grind requires only a twist of the ring under the coffee-bean container, which holds 8 ounces of beans and can be removed for cleaning. The ground-coffee container is permanently attached for convenience and has a rounded bottom to facilitate scooping. There's a timer dial calibrated by the number of cups desired, so the grinder uses only the amount of beans immediately needed. A measuring spoon (for 1 cup coffee) is included. The mill has cord storage underneath and carries a one-year warranty against defects.

Love it, glad I bought this grinder

Pros: Great price for an entry level burr grinder, well-engineered product. Drinking more good coffee now.
Cons: Fine coffee dust visible, should have bought the black model. Drinking more coffee now.
The Bottom Line:
Buy this great-priced grinder if you are an entry level coffee connoisseur, but buy it in black so coffee dust is less visible. Ultra gourmets go spend hundreds more.
I bought this coffee grinder despite some tepid reviews here, and I'm very glad I did. It is positioned as an entry level burr grinder, and as an entry level coffee fanatic (I just started roasting my own green beans within the last year) it is perfect for me. It grinds quickly and aeromatically, and is no louder than any coffee grinder I've ever had (my previous one was the cheapie Braun KSM2 blade grinder, so it's possible all Brauns are loud so I just don't notice). I suspect that the negative reviews are by serious gourmets who should be buying the conical burr grinders priced hundreds of dollars more. Perhaps someday I may need an insanely priced grinder long after this entry level wheel grinder has bit the dust, but today this grinder is perfect for me.
Great price for a burr coffee grinder - burrs are preferred by coffee connoisseurs because they crush the beans evenly without heating them. I love how well the parts fit together and how the coffee hopper docks onto the machine with a satisfying magnetic "click!" A long-handled measuring spoon with a perfectly-angled blunt blade is included to allow you to get every bit of freshly ground coffee into today's cup. The only comparably-priced grinders are hand grinders, and I can't see myself building up arm muscles first thing in the morning for a great cup of coffee.
I think most of the cons I read about the mess and noise are stretching it for the sake of creating some cons. Coffee drinking is a messy habit. Grinding finely involves dropping fine grounds. Grinders are noisy. Get used to it. I find neither a problem; to me they are part of the coffee ritual. Maybe I should have bought the black model so the fine coffee dust would not be so visible. I find myself drinking more coffee now; that could be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it.
