The Bottom Line:
If you ever wanted a nice reliable small family SUV this is it. Jeeps are known for dependability and the '01 Cherokee is no exception. This car is exceptional!
The '01 Jeep Cherokee is an exceptional vehicle. Not only does it look nice but its reliable (Being a Jeep) and affordable. I am the proud owner of an '01 Jeep Cherokee Limited and let me say, that this car is one of the best I have ever drove in. It handles well, the 4-Wheel drive is sturdy and dependable and the engine runs clean as a whistle. It does not hurt that she is quite the looker either. When you shine up the alloy rims and give the car a nice wax it will get many looks around town. I have to say though, the aspect that impresses me most is the fact that I have had it for 7 years and have not had to get any major engine work done. Not only that but I have certaintly pushed her to the limit (going mudding numerous times) and she keeps running like I just got her. The one thing that I have questioned is the gas mileage. Somtimes it seems like right after I have filled her up, I need to refuel. It averages 15 mpg so you cant really expect much. That is really the only problem I have with this car.
