The S-Type, which is named after Jaguars 3.8 S-Type of the 1960s, is available with either a V6 or V8 engine. Standard luxury amenities include a keyless entry remote system, leather seating surfaces, dual power seats and alloy wheels. Models also feature both cruise control and traction control. The V8 model upgrades by adding the Power/Memory Package, which includes a power moonroof, an automatic day/night mirror with compass and memory seat and steering wheel capabilities. The optional Communications Package includes a cellular phone, voice activation controls and a navigation system with Jaguar Assist. Additional options include reverse-park control and a premium sound system with a compact disc changer.
