This single-CCD marvel lets you record high definition native 16:9 content in the 1280 x 720P mode at 30 frames per second. Your recordings are stored on inexpensive, widely available Mini-DV cassettes, capable of up to 63 minutes recording time per cassette. You can play them back directly from the JY-HD10U camcorder onto an HDTV monitor or projector with component inputs, or dub them to the D-VHS format using the IEEE-1394 interface. The results are absolutely startling--like nothing you've ever seen from a camcorder in this price range! \n Minimize

do yourself a favor and buy it now!

With the JVC JY-HD10U marvel you will never go back to DV believe me it's a great product we have made more than 78 tv comercials with film quality at DV cost ,it's HD and when you got it you will never want to go back to the DV even if it's 24fps cinema toy or whatever these thing has better definition than a Digital Betacam, there's only some small problems with the editing and that's all , just make an effort and get an apple G4 or G5 the HD cinema pro and you're out of trouble, also don't buy the avid express pro , the vegas toy or the pinnacle liquid crap they will not work ,only the final cut 4 pro , and don't be fooled by the avid people that the mojo is an acelerator and it will never recognice the mpg2 format ,never! the mojo is only a lock to the mid class 3d FX on the avid express pro an it's also an in out DV format and it is not upgreadable , so the final cut 4 is better by far , and it takes smaller time of rendering 6 3D fx and 8 layers at the same time , the mojo will do the same job in 2.4 more min., just buy a g5 the AJA Io an apple video raid boxes and you are on the great leagues , also don't be fooled by the people from Panasonic that allways tell you that the dvx100a is better than the jvc ----it is not! I have both and the JVC is better in video quality even in 480p , the big diferences are that the 3ccd will get you more stable colors a low light better drive and , you will have input level for the mic ? (anyway your sound editor will work with a diferent audio source ) and that's all ,nothing that you can not control with filters on the JVC and placing a nice pair of lavalier and shotgun mic , also get the JVC pro version --not the consumer one , because it has a better viewfinder definition, color bar generator and Balanced inputs for the lavalier and ambience mic. in conclusion, go get the JVC and throw away your DV, DVC pro DV cam or any other type of DV.

Hope these help you
