Affordable, but not worth the money ...

Pros: User friendly interface, detailed manual, affordable price, durable.
Cons: Poor on-line support, no on-line driver database, Windows XP doesn't always support this camera.
The Bottom Line:
I would have to recommend another camera, possibly a newer JVC, or a Canon/Sony, although those cameras are pricier, they are a better buy than this camera.
This camera may be what you are looking for if you occasionally shoot video of your kids, pets, or other basic activities and do not deeply care about the quality of the result. However, if you would like to shoot video for a business purpose, or for school presentations, you might want to invest in a more reliable camera, possibly a different brand. The price of this piece of equipment is definately a bargain, especially because it shoots in mini-DV format, but I do not reccomend this camera to a beginner, or any intermediate filmographers. Consult a sales rep, and gather a report of what you are looking for in a camera, and they should be able to select a camera which is right for your needs.
