The Skinny...

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Great in low light environments. Very large LCD screen. Good color pick-up.

Cons: Small viewfinder.

The Bottom Line:
It's overall a wonderful camera. It has a "Snapshot" setting, and great color and light pick-up. 5 stars just doesn't say enough.

Author's Review
I have not owned many digital video camcorders in my life, but this is the most outstanding of anything I have owned. At first I had a tough time figuring everything out, but when I got the hang of it, I was on a roll. As a camera operator for a local film company, I have had lots of experience with professional equipment, and this little guy impressed me with how professional it was. It has a 13-way exposure setting for low-high light environments, along with a mode entitled "Night". Basically, if you want to shoot a scene that takes place at 5 or 6 at night, but it's 2 or 3 in the afternoon right now, you just flip on the "Night" setting or turn the exposure down, and it will look like a few hours later in the day! I was amazed I could receive such great quality from a consumer product. If you're looking for a video camera but don't have that much money to spend, I would seriously suggest buying this product!
