Great DVC for $600 or less

Pros: Easy Firewire (ILink) Connection, Great video quality, Ergonomic, easy to operate, price
Cons: Still images are low quality
The Bottom Line:
If you want a great little DVC then pick the JVC DVL300. A lot of "bang for the buck"
The JVC GRDVL300u is a great little DVC. It may be the on low end on the JVC line-up BUT this little camera performs like the "big boys". The camera is ergonomically designed and is very easy to operate for the "right hander". All controls and menu options are available while recording which allows the user to make changes on the fly. The JVC DVL300 has full manual control available allowing the user to "customize" his/her content. It also has full auto settings. The still images are low quality. Don't count on the still image capability to replace the common digital still cameras. I purchased the DVL300 for under $500 on uBid so look around. I connected up the camera to my SONY Vaio via the Ilink (firewire) connections and I was editing in minutes. Adobe's Premier found the camera immediately and without any problems. The digital quality is outstanding. I highly recommend utilizing the iLink (firewire) capabilities of this camera. I have not tested any other software with the JVC DVL300 yet but I will keep epinions posted. Please check the adverts for all the features of this DVC. It has them all. I added a Sony Wide Angle Lens, less then $40.00 and a larger battery for less then $60.00
