A bargain for the value
| Author's Rating: |

Pros: Good Optical Zoom
Up to 37hrs of Video
Priced Well
Easy output
Cons: 800x Digital Zoom
Still Shots at .3 MP
Comes with 60 minute battery
Bottom Line:
For the value, this is a great product. While it's not HD, it will capture the moment just as you remembered (or didn't want to remember) it.=p

LOTS OF BELLS AND WHISTLES. BATTERY OPTIONS DISAPPOINTING
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: Data storage capability. 30Gb Hard Disc. No need for additional recording media. Large LCD. Software.
Cons: Easy to learn, but takes time. Included Battery insufficient. Car charger unavailable. Batteries costly.
Bottom Line:
Buy if you plan on making good, long movies and will use often. For occasional use, more basic camcorders can be found for less.

The good, the bad, and the ugly - the MG130 has them all.
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: Compact size, massive hard drive storage, direct and fast access to true digital recordings.
Cons: Poor battery life, problematic ".mod" file format, non tech savvy need not apply.
Bottom Line:
Cutting edge, HDD offers many advantages, but is crippled by JVC's use of USB vs. firewire, and the foolish non standard video format. Tech-savvy operator required for advanced features.

Pros: compact
Cons: software stinks
Bottom Line:
Stay away,It is not a user friendly product. I don't understand why JVC would include software that clearly doesn't work well with the camera.
