Pros: Twin tuners, easy VHD to DVD dubbing, multiple recording sources accepted
Cons: "LOADING" malfunction occurs periodically
I have had very little problems with this unit which I purchased from HSN at the beginning of the year. I have experienced the "LOADING" malfunction on occasion, but I found it happened primarily while I had my tivo unit stacked on top of it. When I moved it to its' own spot, the frequency of this malfunction was reduced to hardly ever.
I have had no trouble with the VCR functions and the dubbing to DVD from VHS is very easy and can be controlled while recording so you can transfer an entire tape or just portions. You can't do that with other combo units. The twin tuners are also great because if you run a separate cable line in to each tuner(a simple rf splitter will accomplish this)you can record two different programs at the same time giving you a maximum of 16 different programs(8 on each unit). You can also run your satellite receiver into the RCA in jacks and record to DVD or VHS from it.
I have been pleased with unit so far.
