Decent SUV with a lot of bang for the Buck!

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: Price, looks and gas mileage.

Cons: Radio sound quality, slightly underpowered, getting into the backseat.

Handling And Control: 4

The Bottom Line:
I would strongly recommend this vehicle. Isuzu gets lost in the SUV crowd because of overcrowding. They design their vehicles with "practical sensibility".

I picked this Rodeo Sport 6 months ago and have never regretted the decision. The word out on Isuzu the company is not good. They lost their Trooper truck line and failed to market the Axiom properly (a good vehicle non the less) but after all this they still put out a good product!

The Sport is roomy and offers two moon roofs. This vehicle is a 4 cylinder, 5 speed. No speedster by any means. Overall and to make my point of this review: I bought a vehicle I knew wasn't perfect but was unique and offered but traction and more room than a truck. That's all. I purchased it knowing there are better SUV's out there. But why pay 10k more, at the least, when I can have the same thing (so to speak) look better? Go figure!

My last vehicle was a '95 Isuzu pickup that I put 130k on with no problems. My brother owned a '92 trooper for 10 years; no problems and my brother-in-law own a '92 pickup and no problems.

But be warned as I am. Isuzu is having financial problems. GM is pressuring them to forgo Passenger vehicles and focus on Industrial trucks. Major cash flow problems. Has any of this touched on their quality control of vehicle production? I guess I'll find out non-to soon. As of now, my vehicle was inexpensive ($12,900 brand knew) and serves my needs!
