I bought this unit right before Christmas at Walmart for what I thought was a pretty good price ($218)for a 7" screen. I bought it mainly for use on long trips in my minivan. I have 3 girls who watched several movies while we were traveling over the Christmas holidays, and it worked wonderfully. And best of all it is portable, so I don't have to leave it in my van. We strapped it between the two front seats and never had any problems with it. It has worked great. The thing I really dislike, however, is that the manual (if you can call it that) that comes with it is very poor. Fortunately we know enough about electronics to figure it out - and I haven't been to the maker's web site to see if there are better instructions for it on how to operate it. But if you have a DVD player hooked to your TV it works basically the same. Also, the sound is not really great in that you can't get a whole lot of volume from it. Fortunately my kids are not loud kids, so they have had no problem using it. And with earphones the sound is amplified about twice the volume.
