this bass is perfect for what i want to do. i beat the heck out of my instruments and this has held up well. the PHAT ACTIVE pickups give it that smooth thumpy bottom end. as well as the shiny slap sound i love so much. i tune this bad boy down a whole step and it holds up great. hands down this bass can't be beat, especially for the price. i play it straight through a 15 inch combo amp. i crank all the knobs to 10 and let the parametric eq on the amp do it's thing. but thats another thing. you have amazing control over it's tone. if you are looking for a serious bass for studio or live. this is the one. you can do just about anything with it.
