Pros: Quiet, good programming, really does the job on gases, which are hardest to filter.
Cons: None except price!
We used this unit in our mountain condo. We had oriental carpets that started emitting a strange odor after they were cleaned. It turned out the glue on the backing had broken down and caused this (don't ever have carpets with glued on backing steam cleaned!). Our only solution was a purifier that dealt with gases. It was extremely successful. We eventually replaced the carpets and no longer need the unit, so are selling it on craigs list.
Totally silent, with great programming capabilities to allow for on/off times and days of week. The filters are easy to change, and the instructions are clear. Attractive unit. Square shape allowed us to put it in a corner with a plant around it to hide it.
