The 2001 Elantra is available in two models, the GLS Sedan and the GT Wagon. The appearance of the Elantra has been refreshed this year with new exterior styling, larger standard wheels and tires, and a new palette of available exterior colors to choose from. The Elantra is powered by a 2.0L, 140-hp engine that can be coupled with either the standard five-speed manual transmission or the optional four-speed automatic. Standard safety features on the Elantra include both front and side impact air bags and a passenger air bag deactivation sensor. Various levels of upgrade packages are available that provide features such as cruise control, keyless entry with alarm, a CD player, and an anti-lock braking system. Minimize
