I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner, because it is a good value for the price.
I bought the Hoover Elite Rewind from Best Buy a few months ago. We chose it main because it was on sale and because of how many positive reviews we found online. At first I thought the "Elite Rewind" function was a marketing gimmick and didn't think the automatic rewind would be that much of an asset. Now that I have it, however, I can't imagine having to manually wind up the cord again. I actually think I vacuum more frequently these days, since the automatic rewind takes less time. I think the machine is also easy to maneuver around.
It is very easy to dispose of the dust in the trashcan, as it drops right out from the bottom. The attachments for the stairs and walls are easy to use but do not reach very far. I also don't know if I believe that the HEPA filter will last forever.
We have two cats (one black long haired), and I've been impressed with the amount of hair the vacuum picks up. The attachment also seems to pick up an impressive amount of cat hair.
All in all, I would highly recommend the Hoover Elite Rewind. I've had so much success with this vacuum cleaner and other Hoover appliances that I am liable to stick with them in the future.
