Bought this to replace a 5 year old heater. This one has mega features. Ceramic elements to stay cooler than conventional ones, 10hr timer, climate control, and two fan speeds, remote control, oscillating feature moves the fan in say a 90 degree rotation from a side to side motion or a side to side up down motion (wave as the feature is called) Large LCD read-out. So lets take a quick look at each feature:

Apparently the ceramic elements stay cooler than conventional ones so the inside never has a red glow look to it.

10hr timer in 1hr increments. Would have been nice if the LCD display kept track of the .5 hr times during the countdown aswell as counted down the last 59min during the last hour remaining.

Climate control is cool, kinda a set it and forget it feature. Don't like the way it always defaults back to 24c when the heater is turned off. It also displays the real temp as well as the temp you have set the heater to heat the room to before it turns off. The real world temp on this heater is way off. A thermometer in my room reads about 23c, and the unit reads 27c. dunno whats up with that.

2 fan speeds, well what can ya say about that. More like a hi heat and lo heat settings. The first using 12 amps and 1500watts. The second requiring 7.5 amps and 900watts of power.

The remote control really pimps this thing out. Who ever (really) needs a remote control for a space heater like this. The remote supplied is the basic version. The hi end remote also has a LCD display on it, and probably has to be ordered separately. Remote distance and response is excellent, to bad the buttons are so poorly labeled. Major thumbs down on whoever designed the remote. Would it have been so hard to label the button a bit better. 2AAA batts are needed for power.

The fan can move in a simple side to side motion or by moving the slider on the bottom of the unit left it can add a up down motion. Wave motion as Honeywell calls it. Cool but I just leave it in the side to side motion as this thing seems a little top heavy.

LCD read out is a joke. Unless you looking square at it the classic blurry problem is severe. No back light so it's impossible to see in low light.

Barring these nit picks I've listed this is a great little heater and does it's job and does it well.....heating up the room. The 6 buttons are all on either side of the LCD and easy to figure out and seem to have a pretty good "click" feel when pushed.
I thought the LCD display was backlit for ease of viewing, and even returned the first one I bought as I thought it was defective. Came home plugged the second one in and nadda, no light. SO I guess thats just how they are. Woulda been handy to have the back light feature.

Over all thumbs up on looks and performance. Thumbs down on the remote and display.
