If you're looking to use this unit in a small room, or plan on moving it around the house, it's a great buy, otherwise go with a larger model.

After a few months in my first apartment, I found the place to get a little stuffy at times. There was also the problem of cooking smells hanging around for quite a while in the winter when it's too cold to open a window.

This little purifier was the answer to my problems, and the price was quite good at $30.00. It comes with 3 speed/fan settings, a replaceable filter that lasts around 6 months, and has worked great day and night since I brought it home. Maintenance is fairly easy as well, every few weeks I remove the filter, and give it a thorough vacuuming slap it back in, and on it goes.

In hindsight, a larger model may have been a better idea for my rather large 2-bedroom apartment. This model is great for my Living room/Kitchen area, but has almost no effect on other rooms. It's lightweight, and small size would however, make it extremely easy to move to another room for a few hours if needed. All in all It's a great little machine that does it's job well, when used within it's context but, I must stress that it is not a good pick if you're looking to clean the air for more than one room at a time.

The downsides of this unit are fairly small. One of the things that I dislike about it is the noise. This purifier is surprisingly loud, for it's relatively small size. I find myself turning it off anytime that I'm doing something in the living room, such as playing video games, or watching TV as the noise is distracting. The other issue that I have with it is the price of replacement filters. I picked this unit up at a Canadian Tire store for $30.00, and the replacement filters have been costing me $15.00 every 6 months.
