Dimensions and weight change little, but theres fresh styling, more power, and some first-time features. Returning are 4-cyl and V6 sedans and coupes in LX and upscale EX trim, plus a price-leader 4-cyl DX sedan. The 4 cyl gains as much as 25 hp, while a revised V6 gains 40 hp. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard for 4-cyl models. Optional with the 4 cyl and included with the V6 is a 5-speed automatic, replacing a 4 speed. Also new for 03 is a sportier EX V6 coupe with 6-speed manual--Accords first--plus 17-inch wheels vs. 16s or 15s on other Accords.

2003 Honda Accord Coupe- Who needs an Aston Martin?
Pros: Beautiful interior/exterior design, Road manners, Fit and finish, Value. Cons: Seats could use a bit more thigh bolstering, stingy warranty. Bottom Line: Many reasons to buy an Accord, and a few not to (reviews four and V6)
Pros: Refinement, power, economy, luxury, price Cons: Rear seat not quite up to others, handling could be sharper, huge speedometer, V6 auto-only Bottom Line: Bravo Honda, Accord Coupe EX Impresses, Once Again!
Pros: Sharp, classy, refined and luxurious PLUS performs to impress. LATCH safety Cons: Needs a V6. Coupe V6 = Expensive, and NO MANUAL. High theft rate Bottom Line: 2003 Honda Accord: Great Family Sedan With Style, Performance & Sophistication
Pros: Great fuel economy; user-oriented and friendly; powertrain for acceleration Cons: Steering wheel controls Bottom Line: Great family sedan, incredible value
Pros: Very practical, roomy, reliable, and even fun family sedan. Cons: Once, just once I wish Honda would hit a homerun with styling. Bottom Line: 2003 Accord LX auto
Pros: ride and handling, safety, price, interior, fuel economy, expected reliability and resale Cons: controversial exterior, only 3year/36 kmiles warranty Bottom Line: The Silver Surfer strikes again.
Pros: Gas mileage, roomy, sporty, remote window control Cons: Seats get hairy, radio very expensive to replace, only one exterior key hole Bottom Line: 2003 Honda Accord LX Sedan
Pros: Just about everything Cons: Nothing I can think of... Bottom Line: How can I not recommend such a great car?
Pros: Does almost everything well Cons: But is best at very little Bottom Line: Very Good Economy Sedan
Pros: Good on Gas, Reliable, Stylish, Practical, Hits the Sweet Spot for Average Person Cons: Not extreme in any way (e.g., Average sound system), but very good in many others Bottom Line: |
