I bought my red 2001 Prelude after several years of wanting one. I originally brought home a manual 1998 Type SH with several thousand dollars worth of aftermarket parts on it. But after much thought I returned to the dealership the following day and bought a 2001 with only 25000 miles and the slap stick transmission option. I still got the performance parts on the second one though. The previous owner had installed a cold air intake, bomb exhaust, and headers. It sounds really awesome when I rev it up at a stop light. I love this car. Even after my husband allowed some idiot to back over the front of it, and some little brats in the neighborhood keyed the drivers side. The styling is beautiful yet aggressive. The interior is easy to use and the sound system is better then a lot of after market systems I have owned. If you are craving ownership of a sports car give the Honda Prelude some thought. You will be really happy with your choice, even when the odometer reaches well over 100,000 miles.
