Honda offered a class-exclusive accessory for 2000: a satellite-linked onboard navigation system, optional only on the upscale EX minivan. Similar to the one available in the TL sedan from Acura, Hondas luxury division, the navigation system used an in-dash touch screen to display a map or point-to-point driving directions. The latter could also be provided as audio prompts. Otherwise, little changed for 2000. Minimize

We bought our 2000 Honda Odyssey used, in 2002. FANTASTIC BUY. We're at 154,000 miles and still going strong, of course. We're fans of Honda; we ran our last '91 Accord up to 259,000 miles, and sold it only because the interior was shot. You just can't kill the engine of a Honda!!!

Seats are comfortable, the van is roomy and sturdily built. The back seat folds COMPLETELY into the floor, (unlike other vans whose seats fold in, but not totally, so the floor surface is all "lumpy"); A/C is ice cold, stereo is perfect, I love my van... We've done routine maintenance only. Engine runs like a dream. My only complaint is the automatic sliding doors, which were not well-made for the first few years. I wanted an LX model initially, since the reviews of the door problems were well-known. It's my only complaint; if you can get a model without automatic doors, do it!

Otherwise, I highly recommend it; when this van dies, we're going right back for another Odyssey. Jeez, if I bought a Chrysler van (the first van I owned), there's NO WAY it would've made it past 120K miles. I'm hoping/expecting to use this Odyssey for another 3-5 years.
