1998 Accord
I have been driving a 1998 Honda Accord LX Sedan for about a year now, and I must say, I have been blown away. It drives and handles like an absolute dream, and has plenty of power to boot. I have the 4-Cylinder model, and even though the V6 is surely much more powerful, the 4-Cylinder w/ VTEC definitely has its fair share of kick.
I used to drive a 1992 Plymouth Acclaim, and I hated it... It had transmission problems, did not drive right, and it seemed like it was in the shop every other week, so I finally decided that it was time for a change. I went down to my Honda dealer, and looked at their used cars for a Civic or Accord that didn't cost too much, and still had alot of life and reliability left in it. I found this baby, and decided to take it for a test drive, and I was sold right after I turned the first corner in it!
It now has 96,000 miles on it, and the only problem I have encountered since purchasing it has been that it needed a front-end alignment.
It is a very good value for your money! If you are looking for a great, reliable family sedan, the 98 Accord is definitely the way to go! It may be hard to find one for less than $5000-$6000 at the least, but it is definitely worth every penny. Especially considering the simple fact that it is a Honda, and Hondas are notorious for lasting over 250k miles, if it is well taken care of.
My Accord has another 150k miles of life left in it, and I look forward to driving every mile of them!
