Pros: High quality, very simple and easy to use, extremely affordable.
Cons: I have no problems with this camera at all.
The Bottom Line:
I strongly recommend the HP Photosmart 525, and I also advise to buy a memory card and rechargeable batteries to get the most out of your camera.
I bought this camera because I am a new mommy, with family all over hat I only contact through e-mail. Did I mention I am a new mommy?! Although our income restricts us from making 'splurges', owning a digital camera seemed quite necessary... so I went on a vivid hunt for the best deal I could find.
I spent slightly over a hundred dollars on the HP Photosmart M525, intrigued by the fact that it had the LCD screen large enough to actually view, it has a 3x optical zoom, and it has 6 megapixels (which if you don't already know, means that the pictures you take will look nice if you ever decide to print them!)
3 months later, I keep everyones mailboxes full with adorable pictures of my son. I even bought a photo docking station to print 4x6 of pictures I have to frame. Owning a digital camera has inspired my inner photographer, and the HP Photosmart M525 is the best digital camera I have ever owned.
While hunting, I must have played with over 50 different phones. There were some that were so confusing with all the knobs and buttons I didn't bother looking at them longer than 10 seconds. There were some that were so outrageously priced I didn't bother turning them on. The HP Photosmart 525 was simple, easy to use, and priced just right. If anything, it was underpriced!
If anyone is in the market for a new digital camera, whether they are looking for an affordable camera or a high quality camera... I would recommend the HP Photosmart 525!
There are no confusing knobs or buttons. The power button is marked 'on/off' so there's noguessing. On the top of the camera, there is the button to take a picture, and a smaller button behind it to record video. (Keep in mind, the video quality is not that great... this should not be bought as a digital video camera!)
The zoom is easy to use, and it lets you know when it is entering 'digital quality' zoom so you can avoid those poor quality photos. The menu is very simple to use, and it is easy to acess your pictures and delete ones you don't wish to keep right from your camera.
