Would recommend this camcorder if you do not want to edit. If you want to edit would still recommend if you have money to spend on Nero 7.

Love it,baught and loved it has great qualities. But no hook up for computer which is a draw back. Called Sony didn't get any answers they told me to call Hewlett Packard. Did that they wanted $59.99 to tell me what software to get to edit the VOB file format. So went online and did so research and found Nero 7 Ultra Edition. Works great I can edit anything. Very easy program to use. So I can download my mini DVD's and edit them and transfer them to regular DVD's this is great. I buy the DVD+RW so ounce I have transfered them to other DVD's I can erase and reuse.So with Nero & and this camcorder I am set. We all know anyways with electronics you have to make a choice you are always going to have to give and take one feature for another.Depending on what is most important to you. So if you really want to edit your video and want to check out Nero 7 one word of advise. Check differant retailers for Nero software price really varies. I just about went and spent $100.00 on the program thankfully I called Walmart they had it $20.00 cheeper
