~Why did I choose this seat over all the others?~
Three years ago when I was pregnant with my first child, I bought a Graco travel system. My daughter was on the small side, and so this travel system worked for her, well past her first birthday. My son, is nearing 20 lbs at 4 months of age, and has just about outgrown her old seat. So... I recently went shopping for a new travel system. I found this one, for around 150 dollars at my local store. What sealed the deal for me, is that the car seat has a weight limit of 30 lbs and 32 inches. It is supposed to fit 97% of one year olds. According to the Graco website, this is the only rear-facing car seat with this high of a weight and height limit. The stroller has a weight limit of 50 lbs, which means that even after the child outgrows the car seat, they can still be put in the stroller.
~Car seat and base~
The car seat features a five point harness, which is a huge upgrade from my 3 point harness. Not only is the 5 point safer, but it is also easier to adjust, because it has the adjustments right on the front of the seat, rather than in the back. (which is a pain, because you have to take the seat out of the base and tip it upward... very awkward to do) This car seat has three harness levels instead of just two, because it is made with a higher weight and height limit than your standard infant seat.
The handle of the car seat is also very quiet when it is adjusted, which is a dramatic improvement from my older Graco, which is very noisy, and would often wake the baby up when I adjusted it.
The seat also features a rotating canopy, which is so much better at shading the baby and protecting him or her from the elements, than the standard canopy.
The base is also new and improved, and features a recline adjustment knob. Basically, you turn the knob to adjust the recline, rather than the old seat where you only had three settings. This gets you a more individualized fit to your specific car and baby. It makes it way less likely that you will have to use a rolled up towel to position the car seat properly.
There is also a seat belt clip, that holds the seat belt in place, rather than the old style that just had you thread the seat belt through. (this car seat also has latch capabilities, if you have a newer vehicle)
One really great thing about this seat is the positioning and recline indicator. It tells you if you have the seat properly installed.
As for the padding and interior of the car seat, it is of good quality. If you compare the old seat to the new, There is a noticeable difference in the quality and quantity of the padding and the seat. My son fits in the new seat much better, and doesn't slouch forward like he did in his older one.
~Stroller~
The car seat fits into the stroller, so you don't have to wake a sleeping baby to transfer them from the car to the car seat. All you do is take the car seat out of the base, and plug it into the stroller. This stroller features car seat locking clips at the bottom of the car seat, to make it nearly impossible for the car seat to come out of the stroller. It also features a 180 degree rotating canopy with a little viewing window that has a zippered cover that can either be zipped up, or rolled back if you wish to view your child. If your child has outgrown the car seat, or you just wish to put them in the stroller without the car seat, you don't have to worry about them falling out. The stroller itself features a five point harness, and a movable tray. It also has a 4 position seat, so your child can sleep in the stroller if need be, or you can adjust it for a more personalized fit. The stroller also features a roomy storage basket on the bottom of the stroller, and two different parent storage compartments and cup holders. One of my favorite things about this stroller is how easy it is to fold. You simply push a button on the handle, twist the handle forward and it folds!!
~Ease of use~
I have heard a lot of people talk about how heavy this car seat is. Quite honestly, I don't see a difference between this one and my older one. It is bigger, but that is because it is designed to have a larger maximum weight and height limit, than a standard seat. I don't see how it could be made any easier to use. The installation of the car seat was a breeze, and using the car seat and stroller together is almost effortless.
If you don't have this travel system, you don't know what you are missing!

This is a safe, quality seat at an exceptional price. I have used other seats and they just don't compare.
