Flashy brother to the workhorse Sierra Base, the 2003 GMC Sierra Denali is one of the biggest boys in the Full-size Pick-up class. A luxury vehicle with a fiery iron heart, the Denali has more power than one would expect until you find its 325 horsepower, 6.0-liter V8. Two other standard features, the 8-wire trailer hitch and the OnStar System give a sense of the dual priority present in the Denalis design. With performance and luxury vying for supremacy as priorities in the design phases, the winner appears to be the consumer.

Pros: Truck does have a smooth ride and plenty of power (since the transmission is fixed).
Cons: Poor quality. Things break too early in life of truck.
I bought this truck new thinking it would last me a long time. I know this will not be the case. I don't drive it that much (11k miles a year), but have been to the dealer four different times for four different problems. I had a cracked transmission case, a bad steering mid-shaft, bad tail gate cables and a seat belt that wouldn't retract. Everything has been covered by the warranty, but now I am out of warranty. I fear what repairs I have ahead of me.
This is such a shame. I work in the auto industry and would like to buy American, but next next vehicle will be foreign. I can't reward this.
