After owning a Ford Bronco for three years, trading up to a Ford Expedition for another three years, I decided I was tired of driving something that was constantly having recalls. What can I say?? I love my new Yukon. The ride is smooth, interior is plush, from heated seats to dual lumbar control, automatic four wheel drive. This is definitely the best invention anyone has ever come up with. With the Expedition you are required to stop the vehicle and manually place the truck into 4 wheel drive. The Yukon allows you to shift WHILE driving. This is a huge improvement. The difference in outside noise is incredible. The ride is quiet and handling is like that of a car.While the Expedition handles like a car also, the interior noise is much greater, the ride in the back is not as smooth and the third seat comfort level is decreased. Options such as automatic climate control, cd changer and tape deck and heated mirrors add to the consumers satisfaction. I wish I had made the switch years ago. Apart from being a little pricey,(of course so is the Expedition) over $40,000 fully loaded, it really is an outstanding SUV. The third seat folds easily and can be pushed up flat against the other seat instead of removing it entirely.In the Expedition you must remove the third seat entirely while the Yukon allows you to remove only 1/2 of it. This helps if you want the maximum cargo capacity with alot of seating options.With all the seats in you can fit 8 people fairly comfortably. The third seat is definitely not made for large people, but for kids it is wonderful. Comfortable seating, many amenities and the ability to seat 8 makes this vehicle a perfect choice.
