The Bottom Line:
I'm sure GM makes fine trucks and I would probably go out and try my luck again but for now I think I stay with a car.
I purchased a 2000 Sierra SL almost 1 1/2 years ago. the truck has had no major problem I drove 1200 miles in 3 days with no problems at all.
My main concerns though are the following:
Seats:
The seats that came with my truck (cloth) are very hard and do not support the back very well. After driving a typical commute of about 45 mins my back and legs are always somewhat hurting. I also spend a lot of time working out of my truck and you can't find a spot that won't bother you after a short time.
Engine:
The V6 that came with the truck at times seems under powered. When I need to take off on a freeway onramp the engine lags. I would get the small V8 at least next time.
Backing Saftey:
Well of course this is a truck so backing up is very tricky. But it would have been nice to have a backup doppler type sensor installed to detect any objects behind you.
