The 1999 Savana is available in five models: regular and extended. There are no major changes for 1999 model line-up. The standard PassLock theft-deterrent system features a special lock assembly and decoder, which require a valid key for operation. In addition, all models are equipped with Next Generation airbags. A passenger-side air bag is standard on all models. The rear heater is included with the front and rear air conditioning on the extended models. The optional keyless entry system is available on all models. Fifteen-passenger seating is available on 3500 Extended model. The Savanas engine offers maintenance-free reliability for 100,000 miles with platinum spark plugs, low-resistance spark plug wires and long-life coolant.
