Sharing its basic design with the Toyota Corolla, as it had in the prior generation, the roundly restyled front-drive subcompact sedan from Chevrolets Geo import group is a little longer than its predecessor. Modest appearance and trim changes marked the 95 Prizms. As with the exterior, the interior of the Prizm is an exercise in usefulness rather than stylishness. Even on a heavily loaded LSi, the instrument panel is simple and plain, consisting of a large oil temperature gauge, speedometer and fuel gauge, plus warning lights. Minimize

Pros: Great Gas Mileage, dependable, good handling.

Cons: Lacks Power, small trunk and back seat.

The Bottom Line:
Based on it's fuel economy and reliability I would recommend this car to anyone that is looking basic daily commuter car.

For the past four years I have owned a 1995 Geo Prism. This little four door came equipped with a five speed manual transmission and Toyota's dependable 1.6 liter engine.

This car has never let me down mechanically. With over 140,000 miles the car still runs smoothly, the suspension is still tight and the air conditioning is still ice cold. The only repairs that have been needed are front brakes (calipers, pads and rotors) and general maintenance such as tune ups, new tires, oil changes and new belts and hoses. Even the clutch is still original. The gas mileage on this car is spectacular.

My only negative opinions about the car stem from the small back seat and trunk, and the lack of power from the factory. I helped improve the power with a cold air intake system, after-cat exhaust system and a module from www.speedmodules.com, but the lack of room can not be changed.

All together I am quite happy with this car and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small, dependable four door economy car.
