Pros: Excellent picture quality Superb function list
Cons: Nothing I can think of
The Bottom Line:
Definitely a good camera for the prosumer. Excellent quality digital photography.
I am anything but an expert on digital photography, but I do know what I like, and I like this camera!
I have been looking to buy this camera for quite some time now, but I had been waiting for the price to drop. After finding a good deal with the S602 accessory kit (along with a few extra bonuses) I decided to pick it up.
Now a friend of mine owns a Pentax 35mm camera, which takes beautiful pictures. The S602 takes pictures that are just as stunning. The price is a bit high, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
One of the main things I love about this camera is the dual media slots. I definitely prefer a microdrive over a memory card simply because of the storage capacity. Personally, I can wait a few seconds for the drive to save the data. :-)
There are a lot of features on this camera that may scare off a lot of people (if the price wasn't scary enough), but the truth is that you can still use it as a "point-and-shoot" camera, but that's like buying a ferarri to drive in a school zone.
If you want to look at photography as a hobby, then spend the extra few dollars and pick up this camera. When you're ready to get into advanced picture taking, this camera will have all the bells and whistles there waiting for you.
