Ford's new-generation Mustang is an amazing blend of the better of two different worlds. It looks very much like the late-‘60s Mustangs that were so popular in their day, while it drives exactly like the fully contemporary performance coupe it is. For 2005 came the ultimate accolade to those much-loved first-generation Mustangs on a substantially superior platform. It looks so much like the ‘67-'70 Mustangs at first glance that you have to look again (and know what you're looking at) to realize it's the new one. Minimize

2005 'Stang is HOT!

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: You'll feel young with a snap in your walk and lead in your foot.

Cons: Once you drive one, you'll buy one!

Handling And Control: 4

The Bottom Line:
This car will make your heart flutter, your face hurt from smiling and make you feel 16 all over again. Buy one!

The body is awesome. The lines are a flash back of yester-year with a pop of the bling of this century. It's a head turner and a pride burner. And every kid that didn't get one in the 60's or 70's should get one now!

The turning is tight, handling is amazing, does as well or better than many other sports cars I've had. The pick up is delightful, and of course there's that 'Stang growl.

This car took me from 44 yrs old, back to my teen years. And I'm staying there. I get sheer delight in driving this car. Sure, there are things FORD could have done better, but 'Stangs were the surfing dudes car of my generation. It wasn't the rich man's ride, it was the "car of the cool".

The interior is cheap looking (especially in beige), but anything much fancier, wouldn't make it the old fastback/coupe I remember driving when my big brother taught me how to drive.

As for this back seat non-sense... That's for a few groceries or my chihuahua's. If I want a car to haul my kids around in, I'll buy a SUV or minivan. This is the old farts rebirth. Tell your children to buy their own 'Stang if they wanna ride in one! Mom and Pop got their grove on now!
