Ford Focus continues to be one of the most enjoyable compacts in its price range. Overall, it feels cushier than other compacts, both in terms of its comfortable seats and its soft suspension. Its fun to drive, however, with agile handling. Its comfortable on long trips and stable at high speeds. The Focus is among the best of the compacts in terms of ride quality and has been lauded by the enthusiast publications for its handling. For 2004, Ford has revised the steering and suspension to further improve the ride and handling.

Pros: Gas, Simplicity, Reliability

I bought my four door 04' Ford Focus when it had 30,000 Miles on it straight from the dealer. It now has 130,000 Miles on the odometer. I am extremely happy with the car. I have NEVER replaced the brakes and they still look brand new, it amazes me. The only things I have had to fix on the car in the 100,000 Miles of use was the Battery, the Tires (Twice Now), the Oil (Every 5,000+ Miles) I never change the oil on time, and the clutch cable only because the little plastic piece holding the cable to the transmission broke. Thats it! Amazingly enough nothing else has needed replaced. I do drive the car in the city as well as the highway each day back and forth to work. I think personally it's about how you drive the car and how well you keep it up. The brakes I can't explain but when I replace them Ill be sure to look at the brand name and buy the same ones.
