Though the 2003 Ford Thunderbird is slotted into the near-luxury class of cars, it really is a matter of splitting hairs. Suffice it to say, there is enough interior refinement to make the longest of trips comfortable. And with an increase in power for 2003, the award-winning Thunderbird looks to have another stellar year. However, it would be difficult to improve upon 2002, as the Thunderbird picked up Motor Trend magazines Car of the Year award and Peoples Choice Car of the Year, just to name a few.

Pros: this thing is cool looking and fun to drive.
Cons: thirsty v-8 that drinks premium gas
The Bottom Line:
i rated it poor in roominess cause it's only a 2seater. and since its new, no problems either.
i actually don't own one but my father does and i drive it somewhat often so, i feel i am qualified to write a review about it. this car is an improvement over the 2002 model in that it has 280 horsepower instead of 252. you can get an optional hardtop that is removable but, requires 2 people to do it. it has a great sound system with an in-dash 6 cd player with 6 speakers. that's quite a bit for a 2 seater. this car has quicker acceleration than any car i have driven before. it can do 0-60 mph in about 6.8 sec.
it has exceptional cornering ability in part with the big 17 inch tires it wears. i like the styling it has, (and i hate most modern car styling- boring!) the seats are comfortable and the instrument panel is easy to read day or night. the trunk space is not good though. however, if you are considering one of these cars, you probably won't mind too much. this car is a car you buy if you can afford it and love to go driving around. and it definitely is fun to drive around. this car has far more eye catching ability than say- a corvette has. it looks nicer and has a less harsh ride too. this car is fun in every way a convertible should be but, this baby can get thirsty in town. the 3.9 liter 32 valve v-8 will chug the premium stuff if you like to give it a little go now and then.
ultimately, if i could afford this car i would buy it.
