The 1997 Windstar passenger van is available in three models - (Base) Windstar, GL and LX. New for 1997, a low-priced Base model has been added to the Windstar lineup. Windstar is the only minivan to receive the governments highest possible crash test rating of five stars for both the driver and passenger side. Standard interior features include cupholders, carpeting and coat hooks. Safety features include halogen headlamps, tinted glass and child safety door locks. Standard exterior features include intermittent front wipers, wheel covers (Base and GL) and color-keyed bumpers. Available options include a child safety seat and an engine block heater.
