I really like this shredder. I bought it from Wal-Mart for $19 about a five years ago. I have shredded tons of paper and cardboard in it without any problems. A nice feature is the automatic shut down, where it will shut itself down so it doesn’t overheat. The cycles are 2 minutes on, and 4 minutes off. The on cycle could be more, but it works fine. This shredder cuts in small pieces and staples are no problem (I haven't tried CD's or credit cards in it).
I am going to upgrade to a bigger shredder, only for the capacity and run time. The capacity on this model is small, so when you're shredding a lot of stuff, you have to empty it frequently. The feeding capacity is small also, only 4 sheets of paper, which have to be folded because the opening is only 4.75 inches. My new one will be able to accept credit cards, CD's, staples and paper clips also and have a full size opening. The motor speed runs high, allowing the shredder to tear through paper much faster than normal shredders. I am very impressed with how well this shredder has held up over the years.
