A few months ago, I entered a raffle on a game
site, and won a Fellowes confetti cut personal paper
shredder as my prize. I didn't think I'd have much
use for it..after all, there is just my son and myself
in our home.

Shortly after receiving it, we assembled it and sat
it by the table where we read our mail. It was very
easy to assemble. It comes with its own wastebasket-
type receptacle, and all one has to do is snap the two
halves of the wastebasket together, and then sit the
cutter mechanism on top.

The cutters are contained in an enclosed case, which
contains control switches, heavy electric plug in cord,
and slot for inserting papers to shred. One can switch
from regular shred to confetti shred, and my son and
I prefer the confetti shred. It cuts the papers into tiny
squares of confetti, rendering them useless. In this
way, I can shred things of a personal nature, and no
one can glean any information from it.

The machine plugs in to normal 110 outlets, and is
very easy to use. To dispose of the confetti, one
simply lifts the cutter head off the basket, and then
it can be emptied into a garbage bag or tossed into
a fireplace as fire starter. Or...one could always
save it for New Year's Eve. hehe

I didn't think we would have much use for a paper
shredder, but have found it to be a very handy thing.
Since it cuts down the space required to dispose
of unwanted paper, we now make fewer trips to
the garbage dumpster. And, there is a lot less
clutter on my mail table, as newspapers and sale
ads can be easily and quickly dispensed with.
The gentle growling of the machine as it cuts the
junk mail into bits is my little statement as to
how I feel about junk mail.

I probably would not have gone out and bought a
paper shredder for personal use. It just wasn't a
high priority. However, having received this one,
and using it for several months, I am now a
believer....and if someday it wears out, I will have
a good cry...but then will quickly go buy another.

I recommend this machine highly for families or
for small home offices.
