Great for One Sheet at a Time Shredding

I was worried about identity theft so I bought the Fellowes FS5 Shredder because it was inexpensive and I didn't really have loads of shredding to do.

I works fine it you only shred one sheet at a time, but if you try to shred multiple sheets it jams every time. The problem seems to be in the same spot every time. I have also noticed that some of the shreds of paper are not cut entirely. They are still connected together even though they were shredded. Also, it will not work with one little bitty piece of paper stuck in it. You have to take the tweezers and clean out every micro piece to get it to again start working.

It claims it will cut credit cards, but that is not true. It will take hold of the card and stop working immediately, then you have to work and work with the shredder to get the card out of it.

Sometimes the shredder will not cut off and I have to unplug the unit to stop it. This is caused by a little piece of paper being stuck in it.

The shredder looks good and you can see through the basket, therefore you know when it is full, but if you need something heavy duty this is not the one for you.
