Krups Toaster Oven – FCB2

I do not wish to repeat the well-deserved raves all over the NET about this toaster oven; but after having used it for just about everything (except defrosting) for over three months now, it can be a little tricky sometimes to get the best results.
The rack(s) (Why two are provided, is beyond me. I use one for a trivet cooling rack)) must be in the correct position. The manual is only clear about toast and bagels; and if you follow the manual's directions, toast and bagels, with a little practice, come out perfectly every time.
However, if you have had a toaster oven before, for other things you have to almost start thinking "microwave." This toaster oven is fast...and also needs no heat-up time as well. For instance, if you are cooking a meat loaf or casserole and must place the rack in the bottom position due to the height of the food or baking dish, you had better reduce the recipe's recommended baking temperature by at least 25 degrees. In fact, even though the oven's temperature control is very accurate, I reduce the temperature for almost everything.

Just a word of advice: Do not spend the extra money for the upgrade model, FBC4, which has presets for various food items. The presets work, but not very well.

I gave the Krups a five star rating instead of a four (nothing's perfect) because a few reviewers downgraded this product because THEY did not know how to use it.
