The five megapixel EX-Z57 sports a 3x optical zoom lens and an oversized 2.7-inch LCD screen, the largest Casio has ever stuck on the back of a digital camera. They had to ditch the optical viewfinder to make room for that larger LCD, but they claim that despite the extra two-tenths of an inch, the battery life on the EX-Z57 is just as good as that of the EX-Z55.

Pros: Creates great prints. Manifold features. Sleek and stylish design. Outstanding video capability. Powerful battery.
Cons: My problem is a superficial one: it's a Casio. Get over it.
If you're looking for a sleek and powerful digital camera highly consider the Casio Exilim EX-Z57 along with the Nikon and Canon models. At 5.0 megapixels and a 2.7 LCD it's tough to beat. Yes, that's 2.7 LCD. Ok, it doesn't have the reputation of Canon and Nikon, but so what, the camera can perform. I was thinking about getting a Nikon S1 or a Canon Powershot, but after comparing all three models side by side, I went with the Casio (and not just because of the price). Go ahead and compare the specs for yourself, you'll see that the Casio its more than just comparable, it's exceedingly better. That's why I bought one. And after using it for one month, I'm still just as satisfied. It has a myriad of excellent features, a stylish look, and produces great pictures.
