The five megapixel EX-Z57 sports a 3x optical zoom lens and an oversized 2.7-inch LCD screen, the largest Casio has ever stuck on the back of a digital camera. They had to ditch the optical viewfinder to make room for that larger LCD, but they claim that despite the extra two-tenths of an inch, the battery life on the EX-Z57 is just as good as that of the EX-Z55.

Pros: Perfect size, great battery life and movie feature.
Cons: Software is not user friendly and lacks a viewfinder.
This is my 2nd digital camera and also the best. With so many choices, it is hard to pick the one that will satisfy for many years into the future. The menu system is one of the easiest to use and covers just about any situation you could imagine. The viewing screen is hard to see in bright sunlight. Wish I would have gotten one with a viewfinder, but since a viewfinder is needed only 5 percent of the time, it is not to much of an aggravation.
