Pros: Low price and good safety rating from Consumer Reports
Cons: No padding and harness is IMPOSSIBLE to adjust while seat is installed in vehicle.
I am a grandmother and I purchased a Britax Roundabout for my daughter's car, but didn't want to spend $200 for a 2nd car seat. I purchased this one because it was listed in Consumer Reports as a "Best Buy" and the safety rating was very good.
First of all, the seat is not very padded and doesn't look very comfortable. In addition, there are only two positions, reclining or upright, no in between adjustments, and they say to only use it in the upright position for forward facing use. The biggest problem with this seat though is that, when I buckle the seat in as tightly as it should be in my vehicle, I am unable to adjust the harness at all. I'm guessing that it is being pressed too tightly against the seat and thus, won't budge because when I unbuckle it from the vehicle, I am able to make adjustments.
Bottom line, after struggling and sweating with trying to adjust the harness one too many times, I finally went out and bought another Britax Roundabout.
