While the Evenflo was rated #1 in Consumer reports, their ratings didn't include things like comfort for child and ease of use by parents. I found this seat to be greatly lacking in both of those areas. My son (who is a big 7 mo old) would flop forward and sideways while trying to nap. It didn't recline easily or enough and the padding was very minimal. The harness adjustment was impossible to use in the rear-facing position. While it loosened up easily, I could not get it to tighten no matter how hard I pulled on the strap. It is an extremely basic car seat which might be fine for a grandparent to use or someone who does not tote the child around everyday, but for daily use it was very frustrating. We gave it to a grandparent and bought a Britax Marathon for our car (I've written a review on this seat as well). It is worth spending more to have a better overall car seat.
