#1, best cleaning Stick Vac that picks up the most dirt. Laboratory tests have proven that the Shark Transformer Vac has more suction power than any competing bagless stick vac. Bagless Cyclonic Action removes ground-in dirt and pet hair. Convenient mess-free bottom emptying dust container. No more bags to replace! Larger, 11" cleaning path. 1 1/2 times the suction of a typical full-size vacuum. Telescopic tube and floor attachment are removable at the press of a button, converting the Transformer Vac into a hand-held vacuum with shoulder strap - making this vacuum a 2-in-1. Great for use on carpets and bare floors with tools conveniently stored on-board.\n\n \n

Great cleaning...what's with the filters?

Pros: Really can pick up the pet hair and dirt particles
Cons: filter life is way too short and limited
The Bottom Line:
If you buy it, know you are linked to cleaning and buying filters till you retire this vacuum. "Ease of cleaning" refers to cleaning carpet not the vacuum!
I picked up this little vacuum on one of Target's end-cap clearance deals. I thought "for the money" it can't be bad. Well, cleaning, sucking up pet hair, small dirt particles it does do very well. What is not such a good plan is the filter system. The instructions say to clean the filter every 6 times you vacuum. After 6 deep cleaning sessions with this, you would have so much fine particle dirt in that pre-canister/post hepa filter, I don't think you'd be picking up anything and the little "clean filter" light would have been on most of that time! It says you can wash the filters, but then you have to wait 24 hours before you put it back in the vacuum. Since I didn't get to finish vacuuming, I don't want to wait 24 hours so I thought I'd buy more filters and rotate them. I couldn't find the filters at any local stores. I ended up buying a different one that I cut to fit. Bottom line to me is; it may be bagless so you don't have to purchase bags, but you will more than make up any savings in the cost of filters. The cleaning capabilities are definitely there and it doesn't smell like you just vacuumed. These comments are the up and downside of this (and maybe all) bagless vacuums in my limited experience. I am now on a quest to find a different small bagless that has a better filter plan!
