Pros: Good sound quality, nice size, works mostly as advertised & convenient emergency features...good value.
Cons: Short play time for all the cranking, gears should be stronger in an emergency radio.
Bottom Line:
This is a good radio but probably to fragile for children's use. More positives than negatives. Go for it!
