Great Scanner but weak parts.

Pros: Does very good job on old slides and photos.
Cons: Be careful. The brackets that hold the belt pulley break very easy. Poor design.
This scanner does a great job on slides, documents, photos, etc. I give it a high rating on performance. However, it has been in my home on a table every since I bought it and hasn't moved. When I tried to use it today the red light came on indicating a hardware problem. Looking down through the glass inside I can see the pulley assembly is loose. The plastic clips that hold the pulley in place have broken.This is a great disappointment because I haven't had the scanner very long and it is out of warranty. Otherwise I love the scanner and the job it has done for me.
