Its powerful 10X (38 – 380 mm equivalent) KODAK RETINAR aspheric, all-glass optical zoom lens can quickly zero in on a small object or distant scene, picking up the detail, color, and textures that a less powerful lens would overlook. Pros: 50x zoom, perfect prints from pictures, excellent lighting settings, nighttime mode is amazing

The Kodak EasyShare Z740 has made taking pictures of my kids a breeze. Before buying the camera (and spending around 400 dollars total) I did a lot of research looking at different cameras because I wanted a high quality camera that would last a long time, and thats just what the EasyShare offers.
From the research I did, I found out about a variety of features that makes the EasyShare easy to operate as well as providing more features than you could imagine.

-Lighting and makes adjustments depending on time of day
-Scene is analyzed to detect appropriate flesh tones

Other features:
-Program mode - allows you to set shutter speed
-Flash - flash mode to utilize low light settings without having weird effects on lighting in background
-.42 second click-to-capture time (very quick compared to other cameras)
-continuous shooting for multiple pictures in a short time(people running,etc)
-Video capture mode (basically meaning you don't have to buy a digital video camera to take videos anymore)

I've easily taken over 500 pictures and love the camera. Since I have tried a variety of modes, in addition to video mode, I can clearly say I haven't had any difficulties so far, and its incredibly easy to work. Its a must consider in the digital camera market.
